The Fortezza Castle was then the residence of the Counts of Redondesco until 1240. Subsequently, in 1404, the Deputies of the town offered Francesco Gonzaga the government of the community and the command of the Fortress. This brought about privileges and exemptions, which made the population rich. During the summer, rural and themed parties are organized such as MEDIEVAL settings, important orchestras, including foreign ones, are invited to perform, Carnival floats parade through the streets. The Sunday morning market brings with all its exhibition areas products of excellence in the food sector from gastronomy, to meats, fruit and vegetables, all typical products of the area.
